Noted social worker passes away

Dibrugarh, April 19: Noted social worker of the Jokai region of the district, Bhairav Sonowal, passed away recently. He was 81. Sonowal served as the president of the Jokai Sahitya Sabha, was an office bearer of Dibrugarh Sahitya Sabha as well as a member of the Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council at different points in time during his lifetime. The demise of the much-acclaimed social worker cast a spell of gloom and despondency over the region and its inhabitants. At the same time, many organizations, including the Xahitya Xabha and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council expressed grief over the irreplaceable loss.
