NPP Candidate Kumar Waii’s Car ‘Attacked’

SEPPA: In a shocking incident, on the night of April 11, the car of former Home Minister of Arunachal Pradesh and NPP candidate for Bameng A/C Kumar Waii, was stopped by a group of armed men.

The incident took place at midnight around 8 km from Seppa when Waii along with his two PSOs and driver were on their way back home after casting his vote when a group of around 100 armed men from the ‘Opposition party’ blocked the road and gheraoed Waii’s vehicle.

Waii informed this daily that the armed men carrying all sorts of weapons from pistols to daos (machete) assaulted and manhandled the PSOs. Waii has also lodged a FIR at Seppa police station, East Kameng district, against his rival candidate from BJP Guruk Pordung and 13 other workers for attempt to murder on April 12.
