ITANAGAR: The Nyishi Ethnic Students Union of Arunachal (NESA) demanding the rollback of the statement granting PRC to the residents of Lekang constituency by the Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Chief Minister Pema Khandu staged a protest rally from Akashdweep to Tennis court on Thursday.

Speaking to the reporters the NESA president Biri Chattum said that the statement by the DCM and CM to grant PRC to the residents of Lekang constituency has hurt the indigenous sentiment of the state for which the duo has to apologize.

He said that we have only these two demands with the state government and failing to meet the demands we will go for hunger strike or other stringent way of democratic movements in the days to come, he added.

“How can those people from Lekang create a road blockade creating problems to the indigenous people? The district administration of Namsai and the state government should not allow those people to stage bandh call which is in real terms illegal,” he said.
