OIL employee dies in road mishap

DIBRUGARH, Feb 17: An employee of Oil India Limited was killed in a road mishap near Chabua on Friday. According to sources, OIL employee Atul Bharali of Mereli Pathar, Chabua was knocked down by a speedy car near Jerai Gaon on tiol Highway-37. Bharali, who was on his Motor Bike (No-AS-06-N-8632) died on the spot. The car however maged to escape after hitting Bharali’s Bike. In another road mishap at Dilirbari under Tingkhong Police station, a 60-year-old cycle rider was critically injured when a bike hit the cycle that he was riding on. The man was identified as Jiten Khanikar. Khanikar succumbed to his injury on his way to hospital. The police arrested the bike rider and seized his motorcycle.
