One apprehended on robbery charges in Tangla

TANGLA: Tangla Police apprehended a youth on charges of robbery from Dakhin Nalbari area under Tangla PS on Sunday. According to reports, the accused Akash Boro, on the pretext of selling a phone, assaulted one Hemen Das and forcefully snatched his phone and other valuables at Tangla-Bhergaon Road near Tangla Tinali on January 31. The victim had lodged an FIR in this regard, following which the accused was escaping arrest. Based on specific information, the accused was apprehended on Sunday vide Tangla P.S case no. 16/19 under IPC 394.
