One Arrested; Brown Sugar Seized From Ramkrishna Nagar In Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A drug paddler, Hanif Ali, was arrested by sleuths of the Crime Branch and Gorchuk Police from Ramkrishna Nagar in the Lakung Gaon area in Guwahati on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, the joint team raided the rented house where the drug paddler is staying this morning and seized ten packets of brown sugar and 65 containers filled with brown sugar. The total weight of brown sugar seized from Ali is around 139 grams. Apart from brown sugar, Rs 10,550 and two mobile handsets have also been recovered from him.

Gorchuk police registered a case (300/19 under section 21(b) NDPS Act) in this regard.
