One dead, 17 injured in road mishap in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: In a tragic road accident at Talap under Doomdooma PS on NH 37, one person died on the spot and 17 others were injured, few of them critically, when a TATA Magic bearing number AS 23 AC 2792 collided head-on with a goat-laden mini truck on Saturday. The passengers of the TATA magic, belonging to three families of Moliabari Digboi, were on their way to Sadiya to attend the NRC verification process. While Ranjit Singha (52) died on the spot, three critically injured persons were shifted to AMCH, Dibrugarh.
