One Killed and Three Injured in a Road Accident at Gaurisagar,Assam

GAURISAGAR, July 29: One person was killed and two others sustained injured in a pathetic road accident that took place on NH-37 at Charing Ali Kekuri under Gaurisagar Police Station on Friday night. According to report, a Sivasagar bound truck bearing registration no AS-01-AC-2199 collided head-on with another Jorhat bound truck bearing registration no AS-06-BC-3972. The driver Sudhiram Much of Hasdova village of Goalpara died while two other persons identified as Abdul Gafur of Mergherita Segunbari and Krishna Singh of Dharam Bazaar, Dibrugarh received serious injuries. On the other hand, on Saturday afternoon a bike rider hit a stationed trailer at the same place. The 35-year-old seriously injured biker has been identified as Rohit Saikia of Charing Tepor village under Gaurisagar Police Station.
