Outreach campaign on Poshan Abhiyan held in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: As a part of special outreach campaign on Poshan Abhiyan, an intensive discussion on Low Cost Nutritional Valued Food was organized by Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Dibrugarh at Loharpatty panchali (word no. 10), here on Thursday.

Officials and health workers disseminated the basic information about the importance of nutrition for mother-child and teenagers. They advised the gathering to be careful of their children diet and one should choose proper food items for the health of their child.

Field Publicity Officer, Pranab Kumar Nath cited the aims and objective of the programme. He said, “Many schemes have been introduced by the present central Government under consideration for the uplift of public and every individual should avail the benefits of the schemes, and Poshan Abhiyan which was launched by Government of India Ministry of women and child development to eradicate malnutrition amongst the children. Nath also administrated the nutrition pledge with audience.

The formal awareness open session was presided over by local ward commissioner, Rina Begum, along with key health workers Chitramoni Nath, Lady Health visitor, Limima Baruah, Parishmita Saikia and Prasanta Saikia. The awareness programme was started with patriotic songs and concluded with spot quiz competition and prize distribution.
