From our correspondent
Itagar, July 30: Going off-the-beaten-path the panchayat leaders, members of the school magement committee and dwellers of Jomoh village in Siang district have voluntarily constructed a 22 meter long traditiol kutcha house to accommodate the newly posted teachers of Government Upper Primary School in Jomoh, thus setting up an example for others to emulate. Jomoh village falls under the Rumgong circle in the district. It is the home of textile and handicrafts minister, Tamiyo Taga.
Rumgong Anchal Samithi ZPM, Tam Taggu, while appreciating the philanthropic effort carried out for the welfare of the student community has at the same time appealed the people coming from backward and rural areas to not rely on government schemes all the time and start similar voluntary works.
The construction work of the kutcha house was carried out under the guidance of Jomoh-I and II ASMs Tarik Tasing and Tanyok Tabi respectively.
The villagers, meanwhile, have also extended their gratitude to Tapon Talom and Tagong Tabi for doting the required construction material.
