Paneri BPF forms election steering committee

KALAIGAON, March 7: Paneri LAC committee of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has geared up for the upcoming assembly election. Kumli Basumatary was nomited as a candidate of BPF to contest from No. 64 Paneri LAC.

So, ahead of the elections, Paneri BPF formed its steering committee on Monday at Dimakuchi in a general meeting. This meeting was presided over by Premadhar Baro. Nersan Baro, Deputy Speaker of BTC, was selected as chairman while Govinda Sarma was selected as convenor of this steering committee with 82 other members. Several BPF leaders like EM Jagadish Sarkar, MCLA Suresh Tanti and Krish Kanta Basumatary took part in this meeting. All the BPF leaders of Paneri legislative assembly constituency in Udalguri district are now busy addressing meetings and in door-to-door campaign to woo the voters.
