Panic in Tezpur following appearance of Royal Bengal Tiger

Tezpur, August 2: Sensation and apprehension prevailed in Tezpur due to sudden appearance of a Royal Bengal Tiger at Dolabari  near NERIWLM in Tezpur under Mahbhairab PS. Due to heavy floods, the tiger crossed over the mighty Brahmapurta from Kaziranga tiol Park and took shelter near here for three days.  On Tuesday morning, the tiger attacked a boy med Mohibur Islam (14), resident of  Dolabari Village under Tezpur sadar police station and the boy sustained serious injury. Later the boy was rushed to Tezpur Kaklata Civil Hospital. Considering the seriousness, the boy was further shifted to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital for intensive care. The Forest Department has explored all mechanism to tranquilize the tiger but failed in action and now the tiger has come out from the NERIWLM office campus and proceeded towards Dolabari village area, forest officials said.
