SHILLONG, Jan 3: A number of candidates filed their nomition papers from West Jaintia Hills, Ri-Bhoi district, West Khasi Hills district and South West Khasi Hills district on Saturday. Moonlight Pariat of the United Democratic Party (UDP) filed his nomitions from Jowai constituency, West Jaintia Hills district. Independent MLA from Mawhati, in Ri-Bhoi district, Julius Kitbok Dorphang who resigned from the House on Friday, also filed his nomition papers. Ex-MLA, Donkupar Massar who will be contesting from Ranikor on a tiol People’s Party ticket also filed his nomition on Saturday. Gigur Myrthong (Mawshynrut), West Khasi Hills who is fighting on a NPP ticket also filed his nomitions on Saturday.
