From a Correspondent

JORHAT, April 26: Parents of a 10-month old baby Anya Mudoi have been running from door-to-door and pillar-to-post persuading people to help their daughter suffering from brain tumor which was detected just three months after her birth. The tumor has already started affecting baby Anya’s left eye and doctors have confirmed about the left eye losing vision.

Talking to The Sentinel, Bitu Mudoi, father of the girl, and Nita Mudoi, mother, said, “We appeal to the people of Assam to kindly dote whatever is possible so that we can help operate our daughter’s tumor. We are both from a very poor background and we are daily wage earners. No work means no money for us and that too when our daughter is struggling for life, we are left with no option but to plead people across Jorhat city for fincial assistance. And anyone willing may kindly contact us at 8822120443, a mobile number of one of our relatives.”

Notably, Anya’s tumor was first detected during an MRI in Sankardev Netralaya. Earlier they were of the opinion about a lump developing over the eye which could have been removed through surgical procedures.
