Parliamentary panel visits hospital

Shillong Jan 20: The Standing Committee of Parliament on Health & Family Welfare headed by its chairman Dr Manoj Rajoria visited Composite Hospital BSF  here on Saturday and interacted with patients.
Dr Rajoria, after having a detailed interaction with indoor and outdoor patients and staffs of the hospital, took stock of all the vital installations of the hospital and praised the way the hospital was being maintained.
The members of the committee were briefed by DIG (Med)/MS Dr AC Bhardwajan regarding the activities of BSF medical team, who not only made their service available at Composite Hospital but also for border population.
The committee was apprised of the new initiatives of disease-centric screening camps at different border locations and follow-up treatment and surgery being provided to the border population.
Dr Rajoria also interacted with BSF Meghalaya Frontier Inspector General PK Dubey and praised the work done by BSF for the border populace.
