People confused as Railways replaces standard reservation forms

A Correspondent

Dibrugarh, April 6: The activity of the reservation counter of the Dibrugarh Town Railway Station handing out a blank page in place of the regular reservation form has put the people in a state of quandary as well as inconvenience. Quaint as it is, many prospective passengers were seen enquiring about the same at the counters, but to no effect. Uble to get a plausible reply from the railway officials as to why such blank pages were being used instead of the standard format, the people had to start filling the details on their own. While doing so, many people were struggling with the process, and thus, were compelled to ask the ticket counter official for help.

Moreover, it goes unsaid that there are a zillion people who are not frequent travellers, and so, they do not remember the sequence in which the information needs to be filled. That Indian Railways has always been running in losses is no secret, but the people here are now wondering if things are so abysmally bad for the largest public undertaking of the country that it has replaced its standard reservation forms with blank papers.
