People in BTAD want freedom from BPF tyranny: UPP

TANGLA, March 27: ABSU and NDFB (P) backed newly floated United Peoples’ Party organized a mass gathering at Bordoloi Bhawan at Tangla here on Sunday.

The meeting was presided over by Nirmal Boro, district president of UPP.

“BPF have been running a tyrannical rule in BTC and Udalguri district have been neglected in every spheres,” said UPP vice-president Rabindra Mushahary.

Addressing the mass gathering of more than 6000 people, UPP candidate for 64 No Panery nda Ram Boro said, “People want a new face. UPP is confident of winning the constituency.”

He also said that BPF have been running a tyrannical rule in BTC.

Earlier ABSU leader Rinjoy Boro said, “People want change”.  Taking a dig at BPF candidate Kamali Rani Basumatary he said her leadership has not brought noticeable change in the constituency.

Nirmal Boro, UPP district president said, “We want to prove that people are the real king of democracy.”

More than 6000 people attended the mass gathering which was organized by Khalingduar block committee of UPP.
