Physician Kanu Lal Das felicitated

BILASIPARA, November 19: Dr Kanu Lal Das, a well known physician and a renowned social worker of Bilasipara town was felicitated by different organizations for being elected as vice-chairman of the Scheduled Caste Development Council, Assam.

In this connection a felicitation meeting was held at Bilasipara in the Bilasipara Sub-Divisiol Public Library with Jagadanda Barkalita in the chair. Dayal Paul, working president of the Bilasipara Senior Citizens’ Forum, explained the aims and objectives of the meeting.  Among others, the meeting was addressed by advocate Sahawaj Hussain, secretary , Goria-Moria-Deshi Jatia Parishad, Bilasipara, Mozammel Hoque, agriculture officer, Manik Sutradhar, Azad Sarker, Noor Mohammad, secretary, Bilasipara Senior Citizens’ Forum, noted artiste of Goalpariya folk songs Abdul Karim Khan, Alhaj Abdul Khaleque, president AIUDF, Bilasipara district committee, Lily Karmaker, jourlist and senior citizen Gopal Chandra Das.

Renowned social worker Bhanumati Paul  appreciated Dr  KL Das for his sincere service and dedication towards the society. Thereafter, Dr. Das was felicitated on behalf Bilasipara Sub-Divisiol Public Library, Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan Magement Committee, Bilasipara Senior Citizens’ Forum, Goria-Moria-Deshi Jatia Parishad, Moymato Silpi Samaj, Asom Mahila Sangha, AIUDF, Lily Karmaker, Agragami Upkar Samity with phulam gamocha, xarai, japi, and pen.

Dr Das in response to the felicitation said that without the development of the downtrodden and the people belonging to backward classes, development of country could not be possible. He thanked the public present in the meeting and sought the cooperation of the public in discharging his duties and responsibilities.  Noor Mohammad offered the vote of thanks.
