PK Mahanta’s NSG security cover removed

GUWAHATI, Jan 31: Former chief minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta’s security cover will now be provided by the CRPF instead of the NSG. But he will continue to get Z-Plus security cover. This decision was taken recently by the Central government. Talking to media persons on the issue on Tuesday, Mahanta said, “Power to review such security covers rests with the Central government. Getting NSG security cover is not a big issue for me. Getting the support and cooperation of people of the State is the most important thing.”
