Plan to build expressways along the Brahmaputra hailed

Dibrugarh, October 25:  The members of the Policy Group for People’s Rights (PGPR) Dibrugarh, Assam, have congratulated Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal for acquiring sanction from the Central Government to build expressways along the Brahmaputra on either side from Sadiya to Dhubri.

The president of PGPR, Dr Aradha Kataki,  in a press release, welcomed the development initiative and stated that PGPR was in particular pleased  as in a congratulatory letter to the Chief Minister in May when he assumed office, PGPR had  forwarded the suggestion to build such highways. It was one of the major suggestions placed before the Chief Minister, along with the brief policy document that had emated from the 2nd PGPR, ADDA, on India’s Act East Policy with Ambassador Jaimini Bhagawati, Ambassador BK Mitra and other distinguished participants.
