Poetry book released

Biswath Chariali, Nov 12: Poetry book Barashun Bhal Powa Choalijani penned by Jaya Malakar was released by Dr Pradeep Sharma, Principal of Kalabari College on Sunday. “Poetry will have to touch the heart of the common people, then only the poet is successful,” said Bansi Borah, eminent poet and former president of Sonitpur District Sahitya Sabha. He was speaking as the guest of honour at the book-release function held by Joki Chora at Bipani tya Mandir with Indra Prasad Saikia in the chair.

 Dr Rat Kinkar  Goswami, Associate Professor of Biswath College of Agriculture, took part as distinguished speaker in the programme. The programme was conducted by Dilip Kumar Bhattacharya, secretary of Joki Chora. Dr Hemanta Borah, Shubhandini Das, Archa Borah and Ajit Hazarika presented songs and poems.
