Police booths for patients and hospital staff set up

NONGSTOIN, Sept 9: To provide additiol security and quick help to the patience and staff of Civil Hospital, Nongstoin Police has set up Police booths here on Friday.

Circle Inspector (CI) Nongstoin Police Station, D Mawlein graced the occasion as the chief guest, in the presence of Dr. WW Phira, Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital Nongstoin and G Momin second officer in charge Nongstoin Police Station.

“In the wake of the rising number of misbehavior cases on doctors and staff, Nongstoin police has decided to set up Police booths in this hospital,” Mawlein said while addressing the gathering.

“The police booths will not function as a full-fledged one since it has not been approved by the Police head quarter, but the Police HQ, allowed setting up the said police booths in order to make the staff and patience easier in case they needed any assistance,” he added.

The CI also said that the presence of police personnel in the hospital will make the patience and staff feels more secure, and there will be 5 police personnel in the newly set up police booths. The programmed was also attended by Dr. R Laloo JR SP O/o DM&HO Nongstoin, Dr. C Iangrai DTO, WKH Nongstoin, Dr. W Nongkhlaw Specialist Civil Hospital Nongstoin among others.
