Poor BSNL service irks traders

From Our Correspondent

MANGALDAI, Jan 16: In a bid to transform Prime Minister rendra Modi’s campaigning for “Digital India” into a mockery, the poor service of BSNL once again has hit its several thousands of subscribers in Darrang district including district headquarters Mangaldai and business hub of the district, Kharupetia town.

Both the mobile and internet service provided by BSNL in the district remained totally disrupted for several hours since Sunday at a stretch creating serious hardships to its customers.

Meanwhile being irked by the repeated poor services of the public telecom service providers, Mangaldai Chambers of Commerce on Monday submitted a memorandum before the higher authority of BSNL, Mangaldai.

The memorandum signed by its chief secretary and eminent industrialist Mukul Deka expressed their strong resentment over the long persisting poor services of the BSNL.

It pointed out how the traders of the area have been suffering due to this repeated poor services and the apathy of the BSNL authority to address this problems in spite of their successive appeals.

The business community demanded proper and prompt action for a permanent solution of such below par service against the long earned reputation of the telecom company.  No officials are available for comments despite repeated attempts.
