Poor Father in Nalbari wandering off alone in search for his 25-year-old Missing Son

Nalbari: Here’s a heart-wrenching story of a poor father in Nalbari wandering off alone for his one and only son Achyut Rajbongshi, who is reported missing since last February 14, 2019. A missing case was also registered in connection to the matter; however, no whereabouts of the 25-year-old youth was ascertained so far.

The poor family comprising Ramesh Rajbongshi (54), his wife and their only son identified as Achyut Rajbongshi are the residents of West Polokata Village, bordering between Baksa and Nalbari districts of Assam.

Ramesh Rajbongshi, the helpless father despite his age-related physical disorders and health issues, he has not given up but to search for his missing son.

He has been wandering down the busy streets of the Guwahati, Nalbari and other parts of Lower Assam region carrying a photograph of Achyut Rajbongshi, but, could trace the whereabouts of the missing youth.

Speaking to media, Ramesh said, “Achyut went missing since February 14, 2019. He went to participate in a Paalnaam at Sarthebari, he also took away his bicycle and he didn’t return home thereafter. Both I and my wife are waiting for his arrival; he is our only support, our only child.”

It is to be noted that Achyut Rajbongshi is also the sole bread-earner in their family.

A missing case has been registered at Barama Police Station and the police officials had also assured they will track down the whereabouts of their missing son.

On the other hand, local people in the area suspected that the youth might have joined the outlawed faction (ULFA-I), however, there has no such official confirmation on this so far.

Meanwhile, the poor helpless father Ramesh Rajbongshi made a request before the people of Assam to notify them with any kind information related to their son’s whereabouts at 7086703120.
