Poor Service Irks Central Bank Of India Customers

TANGLA: The people of Tangla town are facing problems due to the alleged lackadaisical attitude of employees of the Central Bank of India, Tangla branch while discharging their duties since the past several days.

There are only two counters, one for depositing and other for withdrawal, in the branch which caters to a huge customer base spread across Paneri, Bhergaon, Hattigarh, Ghagra, Harisinga and several other areas of Bhergaon subdivision. What has added to the woes of the consumers is the late arrival of the bank officials. This correspondent on a visit to the branch on Saturday witnessed the arrival of the branch manager at 11 am while the desks for updating passbooks were lying vacant, causing inconvenience to the customers. Many customers alleged that the branch officials were negligent towards their duties and people were made to wait for hours in serpentine queues for bank transactions. The customers of the bank have demanded better services.
