Post-flood magement by Gohpur civil administration

Gohpur, July 22: Gohpur civil administration started post-flood magement after the flood situation became normal in Gohpur subdivision. Public health engineering department (PHED), veteriry department, health department, water resource department, agriculture department and other departments concerned were seen engaged in post-flood magement work in various flood-affected places of the subdivision.
Under the supervision of Dr. Indranoshee Das, SDO (Civil) Gohpur, and in collaboration with Gohpur and Halem revenue circle authorities, post-flood services are being provided in the subdivision. On Friday, Dr. Indranoshee Das organized a press conference regarding post-flood magement in her office. She said that 19 tubewells had been installed by PHED in various places till July 20. Total 156 medical camps were held in the flood-affected areas and total 8,598 patients have attended these camps. Free medicines and necessary treatment were also provided by the health department. Fogging and DDT spray are being continued in the flood-affected areas.    On the other hand, domestic animals have been protected from probable diseases by arranging 12 veteriry camps and 4,740 animals have been treated till July 20. Gohpur PHED distributed 1,54,440 packaged mineral water bottles, 61,090 Halogen tablets, 5,956 bleaching powder packets and 19,026 chemical packets till July 20.
