TINSUKIA, May 25: Postal services in Tinsukia have come to a grinding halt as no sub-post offices have been able to perform any transaction due to failure of internet connectivity since the past one week.

While postmasters have no say on link failure, the public in general are having a harrowing time in dispatching important documents, money transfer and other vital services. The Superintendent of Post Offices, Tinsukia, Ganesh Sharma when contacted for his views on public harassment owing to frequent link failure, Sharma initially blamed Infosys which installed new software and BSNL, the main component of internet services in postal department, for their alleged lackadaisical attitude towards departmental complaints.
