FROM OUR  Reporter

SHILLONG, March 17: East Khasi Hills District Superintendent of Police  M Kharkrang during the launching of the Posters Campaign by the Children of Domestic Work Movement, Shillong said that children working as domestic help are most vulnerable to crimes.

Kharkrang lauded the North Eastern Regiol Domestic Workers Movement (NERDWM). He also emphasized taking  care of these children. He also encourages the young children to come and visit the police station more often while stating that they should not be afraid to come forward if they are victims of sexual abuse or any harassment. “If you are afraid this means you are giving the culprit a chance to commit more crimes,” he said adding that an environment should be created where these children feel that they are protected.
