Power cuts irk people in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, May 26: Most of the people in Kokrajhar were eager to watch the charismatic deliberation of Prime Minister rendra Modi in the celebration of one year completion of BJP government in Assam and three years completion of NDA govt. at the centre held at Khapara in Guwahati but missed the mega event due to regular power cuts.

There had been regular power cuts in Kokrajhar town although the weather is clear. People of Kokrajhar who were in front of the TV to watch the speech of Modi in the celebration of completion of one and three years of Assam govt. and NDA govt. at the centre were seemed to be in angry mode due to lack of power supply during the main celebration. People here have missed the foundation of AIIMS and main celebration at Khapara as there was no supply of power at that time.

The power was not available from 2 pm in Southern side of Kokrajhar town but supplied only at 4.35 pm. The people of Northern part of Kokrajhar town also faced the same problem and missed the event. Some people of Kokrajhar expressed dismay as they have failed to watch the event of BJP on this day despite the party promised 24-hours power supply in their election manifesto.
