Prabhari officer Sameer Kumar Khare reviews status of progress of Hailakandi

Hailakandi: Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Central Prabhari Officer, Sameer Kumar Khare reviewed the status of progress of key sectors of aspirational district Hailakandi. Khare while reviewing the status of progress of key sectors with officials at the conference room of the Circuit House here on Wednesday, urged them to intensify their efforts to improve upon the key parameters to catapult aspirational district to a new paradigm of development in the next Delta ranking of NITI Aayog. In this context, he pointed out that a jump in Delta ranking following improvement in key parameters would pave the way for additional funds.

Reviewing the health sector with Joint Director, Health Services and other health officials, Khare said steps must be initiated to set up a Drug Resistant TB Centre and AIDS Centre in the premises of SK Roy Civil Hospital. Later, he visited the civil hospital and inspected the site and took rounds of the hospital. It may be mentioned that Power Grid Corporation of India has sanctioned over Rs.3 crore for major repairing and renovation of the hospital.

Khare asked the Inspector of Schools to submit model proposals for construction of boundary walls, drinking water and additional classrooms that can be funded under CSR initiative.

The Prabhari Officer asked the Agriculture department authorities to tie up with NABARD to bring more agricultural land under farm mechanisation with a view to doubling the income of the farmers of the district.

Khare asked the Branch Manager of India Post Payments Bank, P Rathore to extend the bank’s network to the unbanked areas so that the people living there can avail the banking facilities.

He asked the Public Health department officials to carry out testing of the ground water sources to make it arsenic and fluoride free. District Development Commissioner, Amalendu Roy, Assistant Commissioner, Parikshit Phukan and officials of Health department, APDCL, PHED, NHM, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, NRLM, ASRLM and others attended the meeting.
