Pradyut Bora to release new party constitution next week

BY Our Staff Reporter

Guwahati, February 28: Pradyut Bora, who resigned from the BJP recently, is set to release the constitution of his new party next week.

“Starting today, we will begin work on drafting a constitution for our party. Tomorrow we will sit with a group of intellectuals and well wishers to get their views on party formation, and how to make it a success. On Monday, we will release our ideology document,” he said in a social networking site.

Bora said the draft of the constitution of his new party will be released by the end of next week and it will be up for suggestions and inputs from the public.

On his way forward, Bora said, “I have said it earlier…do not expect miracles from us. We shall grow our organization brick by brick, and go about the task of building Assam in a systematic manner. Values are as important to us as the goals. So, no shortcuts. It will be a long journey.”

Pradyut Bora had resigned from the BJP complaining about “lack of democracy” in the party and arrogance of some senior leaders.

Though there were speculations that he might join the Aam Aadmi Party, he decided against it.
