Preparations under way for festival of peace and harmony

KOKRAJHAR, April 19: Preparations are under way for the festival of peace and harmony to be held with a three-day colorful programme to be organized by the 14 denomitiol churches of the  tiol Boro Christian Council (NBCC) at Besargaon playground in Kokrajhar district. The Festival of Peace and Harmony will be held from April 21 to April 23.  Reo Reoa rzihary, convener of the reception committee of the Festival of Peace and Harmony said that the main purpose of the conference was to bring peace and harmony, equal rights  and co-existence in the society. rzihary said that 10,000 delegates were expected to come and 40,000 people were likely to participate in the conference every day. The main speaker would be Rev. Prof. Dr. Rajendra B.Lal, Vice-Chancellor of the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Science, Allahabad. He also said that BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary along with two ministers Rihon Daimary and Pramila Rani Brahma and other dignitaries would grace the festival of peace.
