Press bodies contributes cash to fire victims

 Itagar, Dec 6: In an exemplary philanthropic move, the Aruchal Press Club (APC), Aruchal Pradesh Union of Working Jourlist (APUWJ) and Aruchal Electronic Media Association (AEMA) on Tuesday jointly came out to the relief of Hari village and Kudung Barang fire victims at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district by contributing cash amount. Back to back fire accidents that took place at the Hari and Kudung Barang villages in Ziro on November 19 and 21 last had completely burnt down a total of 12 dwellings while the fire at Kudung Barang had left five persons dead. Cash amounts of Rs 6200/- each was handed over to the 11 victims of Hari and one victim of Kudung Barang in presence of the respective ZPM and Gaon Burahs. At Hari village, the relief amount was distributed to the victims through ZPM Hage Kobing and Head Gaon Burah Hage Apa. On behalf of the victims, ZPC Kobing lauded APC, APUWJ and AEMA for coming out with the noble endeavor and helping the victims in their hour of need. Later, the relief team visited Kudung Barang and handed over the cash amount to the victim Taku Donyi through Hija ZPM Dani Buker. Donyi is a gaon burah himself. At the same time, the team also provided a gaon burah’s blazer (red coat) to Donyi through the district administration as his coat was burnt in the accident.
