Prime accused granted bail

GUWAHATI, May 17: The Guwahati High Court has granted bail to the prime accused of the Shweta Agarwal murder case Govind Singhal on Thursday. The trial of the sensational murder case has already begun in the fast track court. The deceased, who was a 5th semester student of the KC Das College at the time of the fateful incident, topped the Grade 12 in the state in 2015. She was allegedly killed and burnt within 4 hours after her exams were over on December 4, 2017 allegedly by Singhal. After the incident, her body was recovered from the bathroom of the culprit’s Bharalumukh residence.
