Prime Minister launched several projects in Itanagar

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Itanagar has laid the foundation stone of Greenfield airport at Hollongi in Parum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh. He has also launched work for a strategic tunnel in Sela which will reduce travel time to the India-China border town of Tawang by over an hour.

A new dedicated DD Channel for Arunachal Pradesh-DD Arun Prabha has been launched at IG Park, Itanagar which will be the 24th Channel by Doordarshan. The Prime Minister has also dedicated 110 MW Pare Hydroelectric Plant in Arunachal Pradesh.

The PM has also laid foundation stone of permanent campus of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) at Jote in Arunachal Pradesh. During his visit to Itanagar he has also inaugurated upgraded Tezu Airport in Arunachal Pradesh.

He has also inaugurated 50 health and wellness centres in Arunachal Pradesh which is one of the vital components of Ayushman Bharat in ensuring Universal Health Coverage.

Prime Minister will now proceed to Changsari in the outskirt of Guwahati which is scheduled to reach around 12.30pm where he will inaugurate several projects. His last stop for the day will be in Tripura which is scheduled to arrive at around 3.30pm.
