Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Launch Projects worth Rs 60,000 Crore

New Delhi: In a visit to Lucknow this weekend, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will attend a mega groundbreaking ceremony to launch projects worth Rs 60,000 crores and will take part in urban development programs.

On Saturday, the PM’s office said that he will attend an event on “Transforming Urban Landscape”. This will be the 3rd anniversary of the three key government initiatives associated with the urban development, namely the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), and the Smart Cities Mission.

The statement also said that PM Modi will also visit an exhibition on Flagship Missions of Urban Development. He will interact with one from each state, 35 beneficiaries of PMAY (U).

He will receive a response from the PMAY beneficiaries. The response will be received via video link, from different cities of Uttar Pradesh. He will leave for New Delhi in the evening after addressing the gathering.

On Sunday, Modi will attend the ceremony for 81 projects. In February, the project was launched in Uttar Pradesh during an investment summit organized by the state government.

This has led to the generation of investment intent worth an estimate of Rs 4.28 lakh crores. The statement claimed that it was invested in sectors like renewable energy, infrastructure, power, IT and tourism. It said that the investment proposals for 81 projects amounting to an investment of about Rs 60,000 crore has materialized for ground-breaking within a few months.
