Silchar, April 30: A 55 year old man Dulal Das, son of late of Kanai Das of Chota Dudhpatil Part – I, Katakhal in Silchar, was arrested by Cachar police for sexually assaulting a 10 year old minor girl on April 24 at about 8 pm when she went to take tuitions from him. Dulal Das was arrested near Big Baazar, at Central road of Silchar on Sunday. On April 27, Rita Rani Das, wife of late Pradip Das of Chota Dudhpatil Part – I, Katakhal in Silchar, lodged an FIR against Dulal Das at Malugram outpost of this town. A case was registered at Silchar Police Station with case no 1318/18 under 326 of the IPC, Section 8 of the POSCO act. Initially, the police was successful in recovering the minor girl but the accused was absconding since the incident. Various sources were engaged by the police and were tracking the movement of the accused.
