Property worth Rs 50 lakh destroyed in fire

Bongaigaon, March 21: Four business establishments, including a bank, were gutted in a fire accident at Bongaigaon town in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Ram Avatar, a shopkeeper whose pan shop was gutted in this accident, said, “The fire broke out at around 2.30 am but we came to know about it around an hour later. The fire brigade was called but before the fire could be extinguished, four business establishments, including a hotel, a pan shop, a mobile phone shop and part of the branch office of Bank of India were gutted.”  Property worth around Rs 50 lakh was destroyed in this fire.
