Protest against Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Jorhat

JORHAT: Silpi Samaj of Jorhat boycotted Silpi Divas celebration on Thursday in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016. They staged a sit-in in front of Jorhat Theatre Hall premises where over 100s of artistes took part in the programme. A sangeet was held where former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi along with many other Congress leaders took part.
