Protest against fraud insurance agents

GAON (HAIBORGAON), May 4: Krishak Sramik Unyan Parishad led by in-charge president of the farmers’ organization, Mukul Bora staged a protest against a gang of fraud life insurance policy agents of the district who allegedly deprived the nominees of the real policy holders after their death, in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, gaon.

The farmer’s organization in a prèss release alleged that a gang of fraud insurance agents of the district targeted some people of below poverty line who were about to die as they were suffering from serious ailments.

The agents made them buy insurance policies for life cover through various insurance companies. When after paying one or two premiums, the policy holder died, the fraud agents claimed the dues and deprived the nominees of the policy holders. The farmer’s organization demanded a CBI probe into the whole issue. Interestingly, gaon Police recently bbed three such frauds from Mohkhuli area for the same allegation and sent them to jail.
