Protest rally against militants at Riangsih

Shillong, Jan 21:  A protest rally was held against militants at Riangsih Market bordering Mangsang on Thursday. The rally was organized by the Association of headmen of Riangdo and attended by around 2000 members of the public and other leaders of the social organizations. Former MLAs/ MDCs were also present in the rally. The meeting also endorsed the decision to assist the police in tackling militancy in the area. The public denouncement to all sorts of militant activities in the transit point of the coal rich belt has come as a shot in the arm of the Police.
