Protest staged

GOLAGHAT, May 5 : Amidst State-wide protests against the move to hand over heritage sites –Rang Ghar, Kareng Ghar, Shiva Dol - and Kaziranga National Park to private parties, the Assam Power Workers Union (APWU) of Golaghat district committee staged a protest in front Electricity Office of Golaghat against the decision of Narendra Modi-led BJP Government for handing over 33 KVA and 11 KVA APDCL sub-station to private parties. The APWU activists raised slogans and staged protest against the Central government for privatization the APDCL and 33KVA and 11KVA Sub-Station. The APWU slammed Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and the State Power Minister.
