Public meet-cum-free health checkup camp held

mrup Feb 15: Coinciding with the free health check-up camp organized by Asom Ga Parishad (AGP), mrup Regiol Committee, a public meet was also held on Tuesday at Panisukia Bongaon where ren Sonowal, local MLA, attended as the chief guest along with other leaders.  Addressing the meet, the local MLA Noren Sonowal lucidly explained several health related schemes undertaken by the Central Government as well as the State Government. He assured the people of the area to solve their intramural drinking water crisis at the earliest. He then visited the nearby Rupohi Aideu Park along with AGP mrup Regiol committee members and a team of jourlists. The AGP leaders of mrup, including Tileswar Borah, president and Phulu Baruah, general secretary, showed keen interest to develop Dillighat area as a tourist hub and the local MLA assured to extend all possible help from his end in this respect.  The health camp held at the same place was iugurated by Ekrayan Sarmah, village headman of Panisukia Bongaon and conducted by Dr Vinod Singh of mrup PHC, Dr  Manisha Saikia and Dr Afrin Nizam of harani block PHC.
