Public meet-cum-inspection by MLA Sanbor Shulai in Shillong

SHILLONG: Local MLA Sanbor Shullai conducted a public meeting-cum- inspection, held at Assam Club Laban chaired by Joy Rynjah, Secretary Shnong of Dorbar Shnong Laban and attended by the members of the Dorbar Shnong of Laban.

Thereafter, a public meeting-cum-inspection was also held at (Mynsain) New Colony, Lumparing and a meeting was chaired by Doncaster Shabong Ranbah Shnong Lumparing and attended by members of Dorbar Shnong Lower Lumparing and Upper Lumparing, top official of PHE departments, Shillong Municipal Board, PWD department, MePDCL, members of local NGO’s and general public of Greater Laban Area and Greater Lumparing Area, held on the 19th of January, 2019.

The meeting discuss in length regarding improvement of Water Supply, repairing and renovation of PWD Roads and Drains and also regarding repairing of improvement of non-functioning of Street Lights within the Greater Laban Area, Greater Lumparing Area and Greater Cantonment Area.

During the meeting, a resolution was adopted by giving two weeks’ time to all concern departments to immediately solve all the public grievances regarding improvement of water supply, repairing and renovation of PWD roads and Drains and non-functioning of Street Lights within 19th South Shillong Constituency.

Followed by the inauguration function of the newly PWD Road connecting Road through the RCC motorable Road starting from the existing PWD Road Mynsain near the house of Blessing Diengdoh downwards to Nora Hynniewta, Lower Lumparing, Shillong for an amount of Rs. 77, 13,700, organized by the MCIC in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong Lower Lumparing on the 19th January, 2019, the scheme was planned, initiated and recommended by MLA Sanbor Shullai.

The function address by Doncaster Shabong, Rangbah Shnong of Lower Lumparing and Shri H. B Wahlang Rangbah Shnong Upper Lumparing, local Leaders and prominent resident of the area whom all have appreciated and lauded the initiative and sustained efforts of Sanbor Shullai-MLA for bringing various kind of development schemes from various department which has fulfilled the long years aspiration of the people of Greater Lumparing in the particular and the 19th South Shillong in general.

Shullai during his speech express his sincere thanks to the Land Owners who have parted their land free of Cost, the Dorbar Shnong of Lower Lumparing /Upper Lumparing the PWD Department for their sustain help and support for making this dream come true as this motorable link road will be a great help for the General public to reach the vehicle within their respective locality.
