Pulses distributed among farmers

Silchar, Sept 27: On behalf of tiol Food Security Mission, Thombi Singh, SDO, Agriculture, Chiripool, Lakhipur, ceremoniously distributed Kalai dal (pulses) among 150 farmers of Tollengram, Chaparmania and Shivpur areas at the Agriculture office on Tuesday. Thombi Singh advised the farmers to sow it in the month of September as it is the ripest month for doing it. He advised them to continue with their hard work and labour and that he would visit the fields with AEAs often. The pulses will ripe by December if they sow the pulses now.
As a representative of MLA Rajdeep Goala, P K Sahal Singha also spoke at the small function. These pulses are sure to bring prosperity and affluence for the poor farmers. These pulses are of high and standard quality. Farmers have expressed their gratitude towards the authorities for distributing pulses. Pesticide was also given to them. The distribution of Kalai dal will also be carried out at other places. Among others present at the function included Assistant Extension Assistant (AEA) Shanti Kumar Singha and Satrajit Singh.
