State BJP President pay tributes to martyred CRPF Jawans in Guwahati

Guwahati: Condemning the dastardly terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed more 40 CRPF jawans on Thursday, state BJP President Ranjeet Dass claimed that the cowardly act on the jawans might lead to another 'Surgical Strike' against the neighbouring country Pakistan.

Showing honour to the martyred CRPF jawan Maneshwar Basumatary and other 40 plus jawans who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday, a tribute giving ceremony (Shradhanjali) was conducted at the party office in Hengrabari, Guwahati today.

Addressing the media, Dass also stated that today he paid a visited the residence of the martyred jawan and consoled the family members in Tamulpur under Baksa District.

It may be mentioned that along with the BJP party office, 39 district BJP offices including the 309 mandal offices today paid tributes to all the 40 plus martyred CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal condemning the cowardly attack claimed that the sacrifices of the martyred CRPF jawans at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir won't go in vain.

"Terror has no place in India and we must together fight this menace as a nation. My heart goes out to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the Pulwama terrorist attack. Deepest condolences," said CM Sarbananda Sonowal.
