Purkayastha's clarion call to strengthen party

Silchar, Aug 26: Former Union Minister and senior frontline BJP leader Kabindra Purkayastha gave a clarion call to BJP workers to serve and dedicate themselves in strengthening the party. He was speaking at a party meeting held at its Itkhola office on Thursday. Kabindra Purkayastha further said that he had worked very hard for the party. He also said that a special package for OBC in the Lok Sabha would be introduced. Later, a new committee of Cachar district OBC Cell, BJP, was formed with Ramangshu Shekar th as its president. The Cell will monitor government’s workings as well as its own progress and workings.

 “BJP is the world’s largest and No.1 party, with a record membership of 12 crore. The Saffron Party came into being in the year 1980 under the able leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Since then, there has been no looking back for BJP. The contributions of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee are unparalleled,” the former MP said . Out of the 17 mandals in Cachar, 16 have been completed and the remaining one will be completed within a couple of weeks.
