DIGBOI, Nov 20: An enormous six-metre long python weighing more than 40 kg was recovered on Monday afternoon in a paddy field located at Ahompather village of Jagun forest range under Digboi Forest Division in Tinsukia district. The python was basking in the sun when the villagers returning from their fields spotted it. On being informed, forest personnel safely recovered the python with the assistance of the local youths and later released it in the nearby Tinkupani Reserve Forest.
