Raid Laban Sports felicitates 425 students in Shillong

SHILLONG: The Raid Laban Sports Social and Cultural Organization on Saturday facilitated 425 meritorious students at Soso Tham Auditorium Shillong.

The function was inaugurated by Andrew Simen Commissioner and Secretary, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. Speaking to reporters after the facilitation programme, Sanbor Shullai president of the organization said, “The objective of the programme is to encourage that the students continue to work hard and achieve success in their academics.” He said that the organization has facilitated the students who have excelled in various exams in 30 categories which included SSLC, HSSLC, CBSE, degree, besides others.

The students who were facilitated today are all residents from South Shillong Constituency. “We have also facilitated those students who are differently abled and also awarded around 135 students with laptops,” he said.

“We are also giving the students Rs. 1,000 in the form of fix deposit for a period of two years and this will help them in the future,” Shullai said.
