Rajen Gohain Expresses Disappointment Against Party Leadership

A CORRESPONDENT

NAGAON: Union Minister of State for Railways, Rajen Gohain has expressed his disappointment over the party leadership, and said that the party should not bid him farewell in such a way.

After arriving at his home town from New Delhi, Gohain interacted with some media persons on Saturday. He further said that “the party leadership had assured him to give a ticket to his wife this time instead of him in the Nagaon Parliamentary constituency. But the party has now almost decided to give the ticket to someone else” instead of his wife.

Indicating a fraction among party workers of the district, Gohain said that such a decision of the party leadership would upset most of the hardcore supporters and party workers of the district. “I have exactly no reply in hand for them in this regard,” Gohain said.

He said that there was “a political conspiracy hatched against me just after the entry of some newcomers into the party.” He pointed out that he had led the party at a crucial time and would continue serving the party.
